Emily and Crescent competed in the Training Rider division at Pine Top Horse Trials in Thomson, GA over Thanksgiving weekend.  Emily and Donna drove up to Georgia on Thursday and competition started Saturday.  Emily and Crescent put in a personal best score of 35.5 in the dressage to sit in 3rd place.  It was cold and Crescent was pretty up, but he put in a much more relaxed test than Holly Hill.  The show jumping course was very well put together and looked like a lot of fun!.  It rode great!  After 3 days of dressage, Crescent was very eager to jump and was his usual rockstar self!  They left all the rails up in a clean and quick round to hold on to 3rd.  Sunday morning dawned VERY cold.  It was only 42 degrees when Emily and Crescent headed to cross country warmup.  Emily was determined to make time over the big and hilly course and that they did!  Crescent flew and answered every question perfectly!  They tackled their first corner and several skinny questions on course, and came in 23 seconds under optimum time!  Emily was over the moon with a 3rd place finish on their dressage score!  Next up is the last show for the winter, a combined test near home on December 12th, then a long winter of schooling cross country and working in the sandbox.  Stay tuned for results from the combined test and remember to ride forward and have fun!
