Since the last time I blogged there have been some big changes at ERE.  My full time job at La Tech is wonderful, and thanks to daylight savings time, I am able to be at the barn every afternoon.  Crescent sold to the most wonderful home I could possibly imagined for him!  He left for PA on Jan 20 and hit the ground running when he got there.  His new family is fantastic and I can't wait to see him and Lauren out kicking butt at Novice this year!  I have started teaching lessons and clinics at the farm which is awesome!  We have been cross country schooling at Holly Hill twice and I am eagerly converting all the hunter jumper riders over to the dark side!  I have 2 students that will be competing at the spring Holly Hill Horse trials, and I can't wait to give these girls a great taste of Eventing!  The other big news is that I have a new kid in the barn!  Yankee Prospector aka Doodle is a lightly raced, just turned 3 yo, very well bred, bay OTTB.  Greta and I found him in Bush, LA and decided to go in together as partners on him.  This is an amazing opportunity for me to work with one of the most athletic and great brained horses we've ever seen.  He walked and trotted right over a pole on the ground the first time he ever saw it...only his 4th ride off the track!  The current plan will be to put Doodle up for sale this fall/winter, but we will see.
I do have room and leads on a few other very nice young horses, so if you are interested in having me train one for you, help you source one for yourself, or want to become a part or full owner of a stunning young horse for me please don't hesitate to call!!  Below are some cute pictures of Doodle for you to enjoy, and a picture of 1 of our cross country schooling groups.

Until next time, hug your pony and train hard...spring is right around the corner!
